Nestled between the breathtaking expanse of the Rocky Mountain foothills and the bustling action of downtown Denver, it’s no wonder that Vi at Highlands Ranch boasts such an active population.
“Colorado is synonymous with outdoor recreation and fitness,” said Sales Director Kathy Schreiner. “About sixty percent of our residents moved into Vi at Highlands Ranch from a nearby location, so they are accustomed to the active Colorado lifestyle and maintain that here in the community.”
It’s easy to stay active with so many walk and bike trails weaving through nearby parks, while organized group hikes and snowshoeing excursions are perfect for those who’d prefer to combine fitness with socializing.
That’s not to say that Vi at Highlands Ranch is only for outdoor enthusiasts. “The mountains are just an hour and a half away, yet we are still only a couple miles from the light rail that takes you into downtown Denver,” said Forrest Tym, sales counselor at the community.
Offering a sophisticated selection of cultural and culinary attractions, Denver teems with activities residents can enjoy with their families and friends. Taking in a ballgame at Coors Field, shopping at Cherry Creek, strolling through a First Friday Art Walk or touring a historic site like the U.S. Mint, there’s no shortage of entertainment for all ages in the completely revitalized downtown Denver.
“We organize outings for residents– everything from evenings at the performing arts center to daytime grocery runs,” said Schreiner. “And the scheduled transportation is included at no extra cost. We have four different vehicles available, ranging from a 20-passenger bus to a town car.”
As active as the residents are, it’s always nice to return to a relaxing setting. “The Highlands Ranch Metro District has over 2,200 acres of open space preserved,” said Schreiner. “We have 80 acres of open space right behind us, so there’s plenty of privacy and you don’t feel like you’re being encroached upon.”
At the end of the day, for many residents at Vi at Highlands Ranch, it’s all about spending time with family. “The other forty percent of our residents moved here from out-of-state to be closer to their kids,” said Tym. “Highlands Ranch is a highly desirable location for young families and we’re proud to be a part of such a family-friendly environment.”
